How to Conduct eLearning from Home

We have been given directives to hold eLearning from home.  Your child will be given assignments from their teacher on the following dates:

Week 1: Wednesday, March 18, 2020 & Friday, March 20, 2020
Week 2: Monday, March 30, 2020, Wednesday, April 1, 2020, & Friday, April 3, 2020.
Week 3: Monday, April 6, 2020 & Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

You should receive specific directions from your teachers through email, notes, home, or messages on Canvas.
The teachers will be available for questions on the days listed above between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

***You may contact the teacher through email, Skyward, the Inbox in Canvas, or any other method that a teacher has directed you to do.

How do you get started?  Click here for username and password formulas for the elementary students use in the LCSC district, including Canvas as well as other online textbooks.

**If you have a LCSC Chromebook, Click here for directions on how to use it.

Access Canvas at https://lakecentral.instructure.com/

From here, you will have your student login with their school email and password.  To locate the school email, go to your child's Skyward account.  The password is the first initials of their first name and the first initial of their last name (Both should be capitalized).  Followed by their Student ID # also located in Skyward.

If you do not have your Skyward login information,  enter their email address and click forgot password or login and it will email them.  If they do not get that em
ail, they can then email me directly.

Email skywardaccess@lcscmail.com if they need their username and password.  Email should include student name, grade, school and the parent's name.

Once in Canvas, students should then access the calendar on the far left hand side. You should be able to see anything due on the calendar. Students can also access assignments by clicking the teacher's homepage icon on the desk top and then selecting the red Assignments/Assessment tabs. There are other resources and useful material in the other buttons on the teacher's home screen.

Watch the video below to see how to access your student Canvas account.
